Erik James Roberts is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Infinitus Wealth Management. He holds an MBA from the prestigious Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, widely recognized as the world’s premier institution for finance and business education.

With extensive investment management experience, Erik specializes in fundamental investment research, portfolio construction and management, strategic asset allocation, and disciplined risk management.

Erik Began his career by serving in the U.S. Army in the 101st Airborne as an infantryman during the invasion of Iraq in 2003. Erik then led a Recon Infantry team before being severely wounded in combat and received a Purple Heart Medal. After the military, Erik found his passion for investing at the Wall Street Warfighters Foundation and gained extensive experience working as a financial advisor for Merrill Lynch and Edward Jones Investments.

During Erik's military service, an explosion in Baghdad completely severed his femur, and he was given only a 10% chance to keep his leg. After 14 surgeries, Erik's surgeons told him that he would never run again, but he vowed on national TV to one day run a marathon. After severe muscle loss and nerve damage, Erik fought to keep his leg. His determination not to give up but to succeed enabled him to run multiple marathons and later complete a 140-mile Ironman triathlon. Erik continues to embody that same level of dedication and focus as he works with clients to help them achieve their financial goals.

⎯ Local Roots, National Reach

Nashville-Based, Serving Investors Nationwide

Based on Music Row, we work with clients across Nashville and throughout the country. Our clients come to us with different backgrounds, goals, and stages of wealth — but often with the same need: more thoughtful, hands-on investment management than a traditional model-portfolio approach provides.

Whether you are building wealth, preparing for retirement, managing concentrated assets, or looking for a more personalized strategy for the capital you have already accumulated, the conversation starts the same way: directly, thoughtfully, and on your terms.

⎯ Working Together

How the Relationship Works

Clients come to us expecting clarity, discipline, and direct access to the person managing their capital. The process is built to deliver exactly that.

01

Discovery Call

A no-pressure conversation about your goals, holdings, and what you want your wealth to do — by phone, video, or in person.

02

Strategy Review

We review your holdings, goals, and risk profile, then share observations on how your portfolio is positioned and where a tailored approach may help.

03

Onboarding

Thoughtful, paced execution and,  where appropriate, hedging — executed with intention rather than reaction.

04

Active Management

We build and manage your portfolio of individual securities, with ongoing research and protfolio reviews.

Fiduciary vs. Suitability

Not all advice is held to the same standard

Many "advisors" operate under a suitability standard — a recommendation only has to be suitable, not best. A fiduciary standard is a different obligation entirely.

Two Different Obligations
Fiduciary Standard
How Infinitus operates
Must act in your best interest — by law
Conflicts of interest must be eliminated
Full, ongoing disclosure required
Fee-only, no product commissions
Duty of loyalty & duty of care

Transparent, Fee-Only

Fees

We accept zero commissions and act as a fiduciary — mandated by law and ethically bound to put our clients’ interests first. Our fee is based on assets under management, so we do well when you do well.

The Investor Spectrum

Growth, preservation, and the balance in between

Where you sit on this spectrum shapes everything—how concentrated the portfolio is, how heavily it's hedged, and how much it leans on equities versus income. We position each portfolio deliberately, then revisit it as your goals shift.

Our Approach

Tax efficiency, built into the process

At Infinitus Wealth Management in Nashville, tax-efficient investing is integrated directly into the investment management process rather than treated as a year-end afterthought. Investment performance is ultimately measured on an after-tax basis, and thoughtful tax planning within portfolio construction can meaningfully influence long-term wealth accumulation.

Our approach focuses on managing portfolio decisions with awareness of their tax impact — helping clients retain more of their investment returns while maintaining alignment with long-term capital objectives. The goal is not to let the tax tail wag the dog, but to ensure tax considerations complement sound investment decisions at every step.

Comprehensive Market Analysis

The layers we evaluate

Our research process evaluates multiple layers of the market environment at once. No single data point tells the whole story; the clearest read comes from understanding how these forces interact. We track:

✓  Macroeconomic trends such as inflation, interest rates, GDP growth, and employment

✓  Central bank policy and monetary conditions

✓  Corporate earnings trends and profit margins

✓  Sector rotation and industry leadership

✓  Valuation metrics across asset classes

✓  Credit conditions and fixed income markets

We pair macro analysis of the broad environment with company-level fundamental research on individual securities. Where the two perspectives meet is where conviction is built — and where portfolio decisions are made.

⎯ Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a fiduciary financial advisor? A fiduciary financial advisor is legally and ethically obligated to act in your best interest at all times — not the interest of a broker, bank, or investment firm. At Infinitus Wealth Management, we are an independent fiduciary, which means we have no affiliation with any financial institution and earn zero commissions. Every recommendation is driven solely by what is best for your portfolio and your long-term financial goals.

What is active portfolio management? Active portfolio management is an investment approach where a portfolio manager makes ongoing, research-driven decisions about buying, selling, and adjusting investments based on market conditions, economic data, and individual security analysis. Unlike passive investing, which simply tracks an index, it allows us to respond to opportunities and risks in real time. At Infinitus, we combine fundamental research, tactical asset allocation, and disciplined risk management to build custom portfolios designed to grow capital and protect wealth.

How does Infinitus Wealth Management charge for its services? Infinitus charges a simple, transparent Assets Under Management (AUM) fee with no commissions, no performance fees, and no financial planning costs. Annual fee rates are 1.00% under $1M, 0.95% from $1M–$4.99M, 0.90% from $5M–$9.99M, and 0.80% at $10M or more. Because our fee is based on your assets, our interests are completely aligned — we grow when you grow.

What is the minimum investment to work with Infinitus? Infinitus works with investors with a minimum of $100,000 in investable assets. Our client base primarily consists of high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, executives, and professionals with portfolios ranging from $1 million to $25 million and beyond. We offer tailored solutions across every stage of wealth, from our Foundations strategy for emerging investors to our Private Wealth & Legacy program for clients with $25 million or more.

Is Infinitus owned by a larger financial institution? No. Infinitus Wealth Management is an independent, privately owned RIA. There is no parent company, no proprietary fund shelf, and no sales quota directing portfolio decisions. The only party we answer to is the client.

How is Infinitus different from most wealth managers? We build portfolios from individual stocks and bonds you directly own—never mutual funds and rarely ETFs. Direct ownership gives you cost control, tax control, and full transparency into every position, and it lets us hedge specific holdings with options rather than running a one-size-fits-all fund model.

What are your advisory fees? Fees are a single transparent percentage of assets under management on a four-tier schedule: 1.00% under $1M, 0.95% from $1M to $4.99M, 0.90% from $5M to $9.99M, and 0.80% at $10M and above. A complimentary financial plan is included.

Who does Infinitus Wealth Management work with? Infinitus serves a diverse range of clients across Nashville and beyond, including high-net-worth individuals and families, business owners and founders, corporate professionals and executives, retired and pre-retirement investors, professional athletes, musicians and entertainers, endowments, foundations and nonprofits, and young professionals building long-term wealth.

How do I get started with Infinitus? Getting started is simple. Schedule a complimentary, no-obligation private portfolio consultation directly with Erik James Roberts, Founder and Chief Investment Officer. We’ll discuss your goals, current portfolio, timeline, and risk tolerance to determine how Infinitus can help you grow and protect your wealth. Contact us at erik.roberts@infinituswealth.com or request your consultation today.
